In the previous article (https://www.publicbi.com/post/data-story-notices-published-in-ted
), we examined the distribution of EU public procurement notices published in TED by notice type (form type). This post, in contrast, provides insights into the volume of notices published in TED based on the primary language of the notice.
Time period considered: 2023 to 2025
Source: TED XML files
Solution: PublicBI EUPP Analytics
Note: Some notices (e.g. 000388-2018 and 002416-2018) contain more than one language in the LG_ORIG field, in such cases only the first one is considered as the primary language of the notice. In this post, only primary language is considered.

Yearly Trend of Notices per Language

Interesting Observations
The number of notices published in German remained the highest across all three years from 2023 to 2025, with German-language notices showing a steady year-on-year increase.
In 2025, Polish-language notices surpassed French to claim the second position. In the preceding two years, French had consistently ranked second.
Notices published in Croatian, Czech, Italian, Polish, and Spanish increased by more than 10% in 2025 compared to 2024.
Croatian and Czech are the only two languages for which notice volumes increased consistently by approximately 10% each year.
